I'm not 100% sure of what I want to do with my life. In reality, I know that I want help people, make money, and run/own my own business. I am into music, film (documentary type), editing, photography, accounting, food, sports, and entertainment. Now if I tried to focus on all of these, it would take me longer than I would like, and there's no real certainty in either genre. I NEED THIS MONEY, in my best TeTe from "Set it Off" voice.
All of my brainstorming has led me to the conclusion, that I want to own my own entertainment group. I'm talking about almost everything. I don't want it to be extremely huge, from jump, but I would like to branch off into other cities. I'm thinking that I want this to be a platform for artists who want to express themselves.
I want to start off small and in only one sector. It more than likely will start with photography/videography.
I want to eventually own clubs, halls, community centers....the whole 9! I will have the parent company, and everything else will be business under that umbrella.
I like this quote I stole from my brother's twitter page: "Invest in me, I'll be worth billions one day"

In Shameful News: I JOINED PLENTY OF FISH
YES, YES, YES....I know, pretty lame, weak, desperate...but I was bored and I wanted to try it out. It is a very interesting site in the fact that, after only having the page for a few minutes, I had two chat invites. As of today, I have 18 messages. Most of them white guys from Soo, ON, but I'm not too pick *lies*
If this site does not bring me the relationship I'm looking for, it definitely BOOSTS my confidence in knowing how many people think I'm attractive. It actually makes me wanna go out and get cute :)
Anywho, I'll keep you all posted on what happens on POF.

Who can hook you up?
I've got some co-workers trying to hook me up with somebody up here in the good ol' YooP. This brings me to the question of "who can hook you up"?
Seriously, friend, ex, parent, family member, employer? I'm just hoping I come home with better results this weekend, as opposed to last weekend :)

NEVER FORGET: 9/11
So as we all know, the 10 year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack on America is today. The day began with ceremonies and television specials on the events. Every year, I watch the specials and every year they get to me.
When I first heard about it, 10 years ago, I was in the 8th grade, probably in my first class when our teachers took us to the prayer room and we watched the events unfold. I did not understand the magnitude, nor did I necessarily understand a terrorist attack. I thought it was an accident, and as the news media kept telling more, I became more and more scared.
I thought about, who would want to kill people in Detroit? I thought they were coming for us. My mom then came to pick my brothers and I up from school, because her building was evacuated since it was across from the federal building in Downtown Detroit. When we got home, we watched the news all day. I fell asleep and thought it was all a dream, but it wasn't.
As we know, life went on, and it seemed like every month something else was happening, whether it be anthrax, or a sniper, or a shoe bomber. Between the ages of 13 & 14, I think my understanding of the world changed and I realized that I can't control everything, and everything isn't always good.
I prayed for those people, and I still pray for their families. That was so tragic, and it showed that what many call the greatest country in the world can be vulnerable. God willing, I will never forget the events of 9/11 nor will I forget how those events changed the world. I know that every day I wake up is a blessing, and I thank God for all He has done for me.
God bless y'all...Never Forget
Solo Dolo Tips From Last Night
1. People don't go out until after 12
2. Don't buy drinks at the dance club
- Buy drinks at the bar then walk to the club
3. Know there is a line between cute and hooker
- Don't toe that line
4. SMELL GOOD!!!!!
This is kinda random, but I figured I would post it anyway LOL

Last Night's Adventrues
So last night I decided to go out alone...just to see how the night life in SSM would be. So I decided that SSM is not Detroit, so there would not be a "free before 11" special. I left the house at about 11ish, 11:30 maybe, with jeans, a cute girlie hoodie type deal, and gym shoes. My hair was pulled back and I had on some really cute earrings.
I went to the first bar, the Savoy, because that's the spot. That's where all the people dance and chill and that's where I've seen the greatest concentration of Black males :) I walked in, they checked my ID, and I saw 5 people! FIVE! Including me! So I stayed til the end of the Salt N' Pepa song, then left and went to the back door.
The Back Door had more people but was so much more lame. There was a bachelorette party going on, and they had some pretty cool drink specials, but the music was eh-ok, and the people didn't seem like the nicest. As I was leaving, I saw one of my employees and I stopped to talk to her. She decided that she would show me where to drink and where to party. This is when the night turned!
We walked to a bar, where supposedly, you drink and leave. Don't stick around for conversation, just order your drink, slam it and roll out. That's exactly what we did and I appreciated it because 1. It smelled pretty awful, and 2. there was awful rock music talking about welcome to hell...If you know me, that's def not my crowd...
After that, we walked to another bar and got a chocolate chip shot, which was pretty tasty, but they had something so unique on the walls...DOLLAR BILLS! They had people's names on them, and marriage proposals. I thought it was so cool, but nonetheless, we proceeded to another bar where there was awful karaoke and beer pong. I thought this was awesome, for the simple fact that parties in Houghton, had similar quantities, but the bars here, understood that it was a college town and catered to students.
We ended up back at the Back Door because at 1a, they had any drink for $1, so we each had two rum and cokes. We left there and went to the Savoy. Just as we arrived, the Po-po's were rolling up deep because of some fight that occurred moments earlier. I was happy we missed it, then we went inside and it was PACKED! It was a far cry from 11 something when there were five people there. We danced, we left, but not before I saw one of my co-workers and some fineass niggas young gentlemen.
I left there feeling like there was hope for my love life after all :)

Clubbing alone? That was a no-go
So I know I said I was going out last night, but I decided against it. Mainly because I was interested in watching Criminal Minds and Desperate Housewives. Yes, yes, yes, I know it's lame for a Friday night, but I was surprised when my boy @Mack1788 told me SMACK uploaded a new rap battle. It was over then, so whatever.
My new plan is to go out, take notes, and try to find new solo dolo tips! :)

Clubbing alone?
Most times when I go out to the club...which is rarely, I go with my girls. Well, in the U.P. my girls aren't here, so what shall I do? Club alone!
This may make it easier for guys to approach me when I roll solo dolo. Check back and see what happens. Hopefully I come out with a couple numbers :)

Welcome to the new blog for your girl Nicole :) I'm still growing, learning and living in SSM, MI. I normally wouldn't use my real name, but I'm happy with being me so, why change it? Anyway, this blog will focus on how I'm alone up here in SSM and the things I go through. I figure I'll be here for at least two years, so we'll see what happens!
